Kenya Map and Geography of Kenya

Kenya lies across the equator in east-central Africa, on the coast of the Indian Ocean. Kenya borders Somalia to the east, Ethiopia to the north, Tanzania to the south, Uganda to the west, and Sudan to the northwest. To the West, Lake Victoria extends its very north-eastern tip into the country, while in the north Lake Rudolf extends its skinny length 100km into Kenya's interior from the Ethiopian border.

Kenya's only seacoast forms its south-eastern border. For several hundred kilometres the Indian Ocean's warm waters lap sandy beaches and coves. The offshore reefs are bested only by Australia's Great Barrier Reef in concentration of number of marine species.
